SOCIO – ECONOMIC SURVEY REPORT
The mini camp was formally inaugurated by Smt. Sreerekha Narayanan Nair, the ward member of Marangattupilly Gramapanchayath - Ward III at 10 AM on 26th October 2008. Sri.A.R.Thampi (P.T.A. President) and Kudumbasree members Smt.Alice, Smt.Sali Thomas and Smt.Kochurani were present in the meeting. Programme officer explained the mode of conducting the survey in the village. The volunteers were grouped into two under the guidance of Ward member, Kudumbasree members and Programme officer. Survey started at 10:30 A.M. About 25 houses which are poor in socio-economic level were covered.
After the lunch the consolidation of the reports took place.
Inference:
• The volunteers could understand the living standard of the inhabitants.
• The availability of drinking water facility is studied.
• The general health of the inhabitants was examined and found that no one was victims of serious disease like cancer, AIDS etc.
Special Mention:
The physical condition of two houses were so pathetic and dangerous, the details of which are mentioned below.
I. Illathuparambil House
